Celebrity stylist to the best-dressed women in Hollywood launches her own line of dresses.
January 10 2004--The designer behind this line has made a life out of making other women feel beautiful. "Cordero" dresses capture the essence of everyday glamour. Accessible, elegant, comfortable, and constructed of fabrics that feel luxurious on the body, the experience is undeniably sexy.
A Native New Yorker and quintessential city girl, Cordero realizes the importance of fun and practical clothing, which can take you from work to a night out on the town with ease. "I wanted to create clothing that is sophisticated, sensual yet versatile," she explains.
As a former personal stylist to Jennifer Lopez and a client list that includes Heidi Klum, Arnell Group, and KCD, Inc., Cordero has mastered the art of dressing a woman. Her new line of dresses was inspired by her own desire to look and feel great in a simple, extremely form flattering dress, made of the most rich, luxe, sensuous fabrics.
The island of Puerto Rico serves as her muse and a key element used throughout the exotic palette of this line: Azul Caribe, Negro de Gala, Palma Verde, Dulce de Leche and Champagne y Rosas. Silk jersey, silk charmeuse, silk crepe and matte jersey fabrics drape the body and create the most amazing silhouette through the use of rouching, cinching and twisting. "I designed dresses for my own needs; quality fabrics, excellent craftsmanship and price-point sensible," says Cordero.
A graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC (FIT), Cordero has extensive fashion experience and has worked with the fashion elite: Versace, Calvin Klein, Gucci, Chanel, Oscar de La Renta, Narciso Rodriguez, and Anna Sui.
